US President Donald Trump fired the country’s Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a year after he recused himself from an inquiry into the President’s links to Russia.

Jeff Sessions‘ was sworn in as the 84th Attorney General of the United States on February 9, 2017 by Michael R. Pence.

Matthew Whitaker, a critic of the Russia investigation, has been appointed the acting Attorney General.
