WWF’s ‘Living Planet’ report released
- World Wide Fund (WWF) has released a report titled ‘The Living Planet’.
- Australia’s east coast has been compared to the Amazon as a “deforestation front” in the new global report.
- The report said that global vertebrate populations are declining at a rate of 13.6% a decade.
- The global populations of vertebrate species have declined 60% since 1970.
